Description
Kitchen Sink Press made this a solid book — heavy boards, sharp color, and a straight-up, no-nonsense collection of the original Dope Comix material. It feels substantial in hand. The limitation plate is tipped in at the front with Leary’s portrait, and this copy is signed there by him and numbered 81 of just 100.
Now — Leary. Whatever anyone thinks of him, he was there. Harvard, LSD, prison, “Turn on, tune in, drop out.” He’s part of the real story of that era. Underground comix were running parallel to that same cultural shift, and this book brings the two together in a way that actually makes sense. His signature here isn’t random — it fits.
Limited to 100. Signed. Clean copy. If you collect counterculture material, this checks a lot of boxes.
