Description

Exotique — the legendary fetish digest from Burmel Publishing Co. — was known for celebrating “the bizarre and the unusual.” This issue features classic artwork by Eric Stanton and Gene Bilbrew (as ENEG), along with striking illustrations of corsetry, domination, and femme fatales in stilettos. As always, Exotique blends pulp storytelling, risqué humor, and imaginative visual fantasy into a singular aesthetic that influenced later generations of underground and erotic art.

Of special note to collectors: this issue includes a photographic appearance by Bettie Page, the queen of mid-century kink and Klaw-era pin-up. This also features a complete 6-page comic story, ‘Deborah!’ by Eric Stanton (simply as “Stanten”), one of his early appearances in Exotique, packed with bold line work and fetish fantasy. A cult classic in the canon of fetish publishing—scarce in any condition, and essential for Bettie Page completists, Stanton devotees, and fans of vintage American erotica.

An essential slice of postwar fetish publishing—offered with care from one collector to another.
