In 2001, the synaesthesia press published Friends / Enemies, a limited edition work by acclaimed author Tim O’Brien. The books were bound by hand in handmade paper, giving each copy a unique and artisanal quality.  As of now, copies of this limited edition are available on the secondary market, with prices reflecting their scarcity and the reputation of the author. For instance, a signed, lettered copy is listed by Downtown Brown Books in Portland, OR.

So yea… one of the books I’m most proud to have made. I included a link to Downtown Books — in case you wanna grab one of their lettered copies. They actually show two in stock! My hunch is they were Mel Waggoner’s copies. He was an early friend of the press. This title was long out-of-print, but I was going through my archives recently during my move from LA back to Arizona, when I came across two copies I forgot I had. One’s already sold.

I’ll even list the one left remaining at the 2001 publication price, just cause that’s the way I roll. And once that’s gone, you’ll have to go to the secondary market to buy one.
