Description
Jack Pierson emerged from the influential East Village art scene of the 1980s and has since become a vital voice in contemporary American photography. Blending elements of glamour, loneliness, desire, and pop detritus, Pierson’s work often centers on themes of identity and longing. His photographic portraits, word sculptures, and found object installations are consistently tender yet enigmatic. Alongside friends and fellow artists like Nan Goldin and David Armstrong, Pierson helped define a generation of work that blurred autobiography with staged beauty.
This is the signed and numbered limited edition of Every Single One of Them. Published by Twin Palms in 2004, the book features 150 full-page portraits of men, some familiar, others anonymous, each captured in Pierson’s signature balance of vulnerability and charisma. A study in masculinity, the collection is quietly erotic, cinematic, and deeply human. This edition is housed in a navy cloth clamshell box with the initials “JP” blind-stamped on the front. As with all Twin Palms productions, the quality is exceptional—heavy stock, gorgeous printing, and meticulous design by Jack Woody and crew.
Another standout production from Twin Palms / Twelvetrees and a deeply affecting work by Jack Pierson. A must for collectors of queer photography, American portraiture, or fine press photobooks. Rare in this format.
