Rather than a single surviving flyer, this is a small working archive from the east Los Angeles / desert / Valley underground punk scene of the early-to-mid 1980’s, assembled and retained by someone who was clearly part of the community. Beyond the expected gig announcements are handwritten notes, directions to shows and parties, an invitation to a “Homblitz” celebrating the “Aussie’s 21st”, brief correspondence, and other ephemeral material that would almost always have been discarded.

Among the highlights are an Anti Club flyer, a “Debaucher in the Desert” event, a Mutts flyer, Impossible, and several pieces that help place these bands within the remarkably interconnected Los Angeles punk network of the period. The handwritten annotations and accompanying documents add an immediacy rarely found with standalone flyers, offering a snapshot of how this scene actually functioned before social media, email, or even widespread answering machines.
