Edition of 243 copies in mint-green covers. An additional 11 special copies were issued on variant cover stocks and included an essay bound in to the book by Charles Bukowski titled “The House of Horrors.”
Contents include two poems by Steve Fisher, “A Laggard in Blood-Red Love” and “Controlled Populations”; the essay “A Depressive Estate of Affairs for Kings, Witches, and Elevator Boys (An Answer to a Request to Chop Some Weeds)” by Charles Bukowski; the poem “Poem” by Denis Johnson; and “Poet as Fisherman” by Lawrence Ferlinghetti. All illustrations appearing in the volume are by Charles Bukowski.
The publication is one of the earliest synaesthesia press publications and among the press’s most eclectic literary collaborations.
